Jacques Lacan: An Introduction
5. 3. 2018
The theories of Jacques Lacan have been widely applied to cultural studies, literature, gender studies, philosophy, arts, and many other fields. Lacan’s theories are notoriously obscure and complicated; the aim of the lecture is to introduce the audience to the fundamental concepts of Lacanian psychoanalysis. Primarily, we will examine the Lacanian triad of Imaginary, Symbolic, and Real; and by using the triad as our point of reference, we will have a look at other key concepts in Lacan’s work.
